Gripe Gripe Gripe

I said I had a new house to post, and I do, except for one thing:

I tried to make this one 100% basegame, with only a couple items of free store content.  Except when I uploaded it, the Exchange told me there were Generations objects on the lot.  I combed through every room on every floor and even kicked the ghost in the garden into the stylist station, and for the life of me can't sort out where the Generations content is.

Running the game without custom content hasn't helped.  And even if Custard lets you filter out Expansion stuff, I'm on a Mac, and the last time I tried to use mono I just got a pile of code-vomit that nobody could troubleshoot.

Blast it.

Once I'm done kicking the lot around until the Generations content dislodges itself, this is what it'll look like:

  1. Not having uploaded anything to the Exchange in, like, forever, I really don't know! Could it be, perhaps, that the Exchange reads your game as version *blah blah blah*, thus stating generations is required?

I wonder what the Exchange would say about an empty lot with a single base game object on it!

    I'm curious now! :P

In any case, I hope you get it sorted!

  3. After placing all the objects on the lot, but before coloring everything in, I did a test-upload to make sure there were no stuff/expansion objects. I got nothing but "this requires the latest patch, kthx". No mention of needing any Expansions.

So the Generations content came into play sometime over the course of painting everything and adding the ghost to haunt the place with. And I was very careful about choosing textures I was reasonably certain have existed since basegame, but with the way the game doesn't label Stuff/Expansion textures and likes to just mix them in with the rest, I may have picked the wrong metal for a faucet or something.

... Wait. It's not memories, is it? Because the ghost gained a couple of those before I killed her.

  4. Oh, I wouldn't have thought of memories! that could very well be!

Patterns/textures should be a non-issue! They get packaged with the lot whether they're base game, Generations, CC, or from wherever!

I'm interested to know if it was the memories!

  5. I was going to guess patterns.

  6. Further testing reveals it's something on the ghost. If I remove her from the lot, the "You need Generations" goes away.

Tried deleting her memories, and no go. Double-checked everything she's wearing, her favorites, and the contents of her inventory, and it's all safe. I guess this lot gets to be ghostless.
